Meet Mary Ann! Mary Ann is a spunky little lady who was rescued with her mom and littermates when they were newly born from the harsh Manitoba winter. Mary Ann is now in foster care and looking to join her perfect family. Besides being adorable, Mary Ann is playful, charming, cuddly, and irresistibly cute!

Mary Ann is loving all the puppy things! She enjoys time outdoors exploring, playing with her toys, playing fetch, seeing and interacting with other dogs, all kinds of enrichment (kong, snuffle mat, licky mat), and cuddling with her humans. Everything is new and exciting!

Being a puppy, Mary Ann will need support in all areas including potty training and basic obedience. She is growing more confident every day but will take time to master everything and become a wonderful family pet. She would love to join a family with another dog but could also do well as the only pet in the home. As a young pup, she requires attention throughout the day, including opportunities to go outside, playing and enrichment, and guidance from her humans. Mary Ann is a clever lady and very food motivated.

Mary Ann is pretty adaptable and could live in most types of homes but she is vocal so an apartment or condo where noise is an issue would not be suitable. She loves company so a home where people are in the house or can take her with them would be ideal.

Mary Ann has not met any kids since coming into care and she is in a puppy phase that includes jumping, chewing, and nipping so young kids may find it overwhelming. She would very likely do well with older, dog savvy kids. She has not been tested with cats.

As with all puppies, she will require training and work but we have no doubt she will make a wonderful family pet.

As a condition of the adoption contract, Mary Ann’s new family will be required to:

- Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. If you work full time, this means hiring a dog walker to come in 2x per day for a puppy visit
- Attend and complete a basic obedience class at your own cost (proof required).
- Provide plenty of socialization opportunities – both dog and human – it's important at this stage.
- Spay within 6 months of adoption. If done at our partner vet in Mississauga, the spay will be included in the adoption fee. If you choose to do it elsewhere, it will be done at your own cost. Proof of spay is required to finalize the adoption.
